Meet our Prestigious Panel of Judges for 2012

Mrs. Patricia R Krause, Rhinelander, Wisconsin
Pat has been in the dog show world since the late 60’s showing Irish Setters in obedience, conformation and field events. She has had Border Collies since 1975, earning numerous obedience titles on them, as well as on her Champion Pomeranian. Most recently Border Collie, Emmy, finished her breed championship. She was an obedience judge for many years prior to taking a position in 1999 as the Director of Obedience for the American Kennel Club. In May 2000 she was named Assistant Vice-President of Companion Events. Since retiring from the AKC in May 2005, Pat has resumed judging obedience and rally and in her spare time. Pat was amongst the esteemed group of obedience judges for the AKC 2011 National Obedience Invitational. Pat also enjoys volunteering at the Wild Instincts Wildlife Rehabilitation Center as an animal/raptor rescuer and rehabilitator. Her other activities include fishing, golfing, gardening, oil painting and spending time with her wonderful family, including BC Emmy and an Australian Shepherd, Maddie.

| Mr. James J. Ham, Harrison Township, MI
Jim Ham was also amongst the distingued judges at the AKC 2011 National Obedience Invitational, judging the National Obedience Juniors Competition. Jim got started in dogs when he purchased a $100 pet Dalmatian in 1972. That very special bitch became the first Am/Can CH, AM/Can UDT in the breed. Jim has also bred, trained and exhibited other Dals, Smooth Fox Terriers and his present breed Border Terriers. Jim now judges about fifty dog shows each year. When not judging, he often shows his Border Terrier in agility, obedience and rally. Jim is a retired elementary physical education teacher and former swimming and tennis coach who also enjoys sailing and tennis.
